Vené Franco is a freelance writer in San Francisco. She studied journalism at Cal State Long Beach and creative non-fiction in Bay Area workshops. She has contributed food articles to Bon Appétit magazine, where she was on staff for seven years, and to OC Weekly. She also has written about business, travel, and social justice for the on-line magazine bizTraveler. She spends an ungodly amount of time at literary events.
